About the Cafe

Ophelia opened with a simple goal: to create a third place for our community—not home, not work, but the in-between. A place where people can land, gather, and feel welcome.

We’re Allison and Ryan—we wanted to create a place where we want to spend time. A space that bridges the gap between small-town charm and modern life. A place that celebrates the rich history of the Crowsnest Pass while looking forward to the future. A place that feels familiar, but invites new connections and experiences. Ophelia is an extension of our kitchen, where we believe in the magic of a good table and company.

About the OwnerS

For more than a century, this building

has been part of Bellevue’s story - first a

hardware store, then a dairy, then a creamery

turning out cheese, and later an old-time ice cream

shoppe. We’ve kept the character, the stories, and the sense of place, while shaping it into a space for gathering and connection that carries the spirit of everything that came before it.
